    Plugin Settings

After having added your new account from the 'Manage Accounts' section, click on the account number under 'Accounts' in the right frame.

Enter your username and password and if you want to change the default interval time, do it now. The interval time is the amount of time in minutes between attempts to check the server for new messages. We suggest that you leave the default interval time, and use the 'Get new messages' option if you need to get new messages before the interval has elapsted. Now you can start this account by clicking the 'Check to start service' check box. You should see the network activity animation in the system tray after starting the account.

If after starting the account you see the error alert icon appear in the system tray, it could be that either the account number, username or password was mistyped. You can verify this by checking the system log.

    Server Settings

If you do not wish messages to remain on the server when you delete them, you will need to uncheck the 'Leave messages on server when deleting' option. If you leave the default setting, you will either need to manage the messages through other means such as the service website or through VM Rover installed on another machine. Letting too many messages build up on the server, will increase the amount of time VM Rover takes to communicate with the server.

Most likely you will never need to change the host and port values.
